PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a ligand or an antibody which binds to a pharmaceutical composition and erythrocytes in immunotolerance, drug delivery, cancer treatment and the like. It is provided as a peptidic ligand having a sequence that specifically binds to erythrocytes, or as an antibody or fragment thereof that provides specific binding to erythrocytes. The peptide can be prepared as a therapeutic agent, a tolerant antigen, or a molecular fusion with a targeting peptide. Immune tolerance can be created by the use of fusions and the selection of antigens based on substances for which tolerance is desired.
