PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial tooth manufacturing apparatus and a manufacturing method of an artificial tooth which can prolong the life of a processing tool as compared with the conventional one.SOLUTION: An artificial tooth manufacturing apparatus comprises: a rod-like processing tool for cutting a workpiece 24 a spindle for moving the processing tool relative to the workpiece 24 while rotating the processing tool in one direction D1 around an axis of the processing tool or in an opposite direction D2 and a control device for controlling the spindle. The processing tool has a tool body part 27 and an abrasive grain 29a comprising a first surface M1 and a second surface M2 sharing an edge line L1.
