The invention is in the field of Brassica oilseed crops with novel traits, specifically to Brassica carinata plants carrying a genetic determinant that leads to production of seed having reduced glucosinolate content relative to that of seed produced by a commercial or check Brassica carinata plant grown in the same location under the same environmental conditions. The present invention also relates to cell, seeds, methods, and uses of such Brassica carinata plants and their progeny.
