The present invention relates to a method for the treatment of digestive organ cancer. Specifically, the present invention provides a method for the treatment of gastrointestinal cancer by administering an immune complex comprising an anti-GCC antibody molecule in combination with a DNA damaging agent. In one aspect, the present invention is a method for treating cancer, eg, gastrointestinal cancer, conjugated to monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE), a potent microtubule inhibitor, via a protease cleavable linker. The present invention relates to a method performed by administering an immunoconjugate comprising a conjugated anti-GCC antibody molecule in combination with a DNA damaging agent to a subject in need of such treatment.
