The present disclosure is related to the peptide sequence of a recombinant consensus neurotoxin called NtxCs (SEQ ID NO: 2), and that was obtained from known sequences and by bioinformatic methods using the primary structures of neurotoxins from American, African and Asian elapids. The invention also relates to the recombinant fragment of the HisrNtxCs peptide (SEQ ID NO: 4), to the cDNA fragments (SEQ ID NO: 1 and SEQ ID NO: 3) coding for said peptide, to the expression construction for said fragment, as well as the bacterial cells transformed with said construction and the method for producing the HisrNtxCs peptide (SEQ ID NO: 4) recombinantly. This peptide is useful as an immunogen for the production of antibodies against alpha-neurotoxins and to enrich antivenins against the snakes venom (elapids) of the Micrurus genus.
