Disclosed herein are heterocycloakyl carboxamide, sufonamide and amine derivatives of the given formula, (for example: 5-(1-(4-cyanophenyl)piperidin-4-yloxy)-N-(I-(pyridin-4-ylmethyl)piperidin-4-yl)picolinamide 5-( 1-(4-chlorobenzyl)piperidin-4-yloxy)-N-(1-(pyridin-4-ylmethyl)piperidin-4-yl)benzofuran-2-carboxamide 6-( 1-( 4-cyanobenzyl)piperidin-4-yloxy)-N-(1-(pyridin-4-ylmethyl)piperidin-4-yl) pyridine-3 -sulfonamide) wherein the substituents are as defined within the specification, processes for their preparation, compositions comprising said compounds and uses thereof. Said compounds are useful in treating or preventing metabolic disorders such as type II diabetes, atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease.
