The present invention relates to an ophthalmic disease or condition in a subject comprising administering to the subject a composition comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and a pharmaceutically effective amount of a transient receptor potential melastatin 8 (TRPM8) antagonist. Methods of treating or preventing disorders and methods of treating or preventing ocular pain or discomfort are provided.
