PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a paddy field work machine which does not allow a soil-covering member to push out mud forward but allows the mud to be pushed into a groove on a lateral side from the soil-covering member appropriately even when the mud is hard or little water is present on a field face.SOLUTION: The paddy field work machine includes soil covering members 31 and 37 which plunge into a field face at a lateral position of a furrow forming implement and push mud into a groove during traveling of a machine body, thereby fill the groove having been supplied with a farm granule. Each of the soil covering members 31 and 37 includes: an upper part 41a in a lateral direction along the field face； a first rear part 41b extending downward from a rear portion of the upper part 41a； and a second rear part 42 extending downward from the first rear part 41b and plunging into the field face. The position of the second rear part 42 with respect to the first rear part 41b is changed vertically along the first rear part 41b, thereby a plunging depth of the soil-covering members 31 and 37 into the field face is changed freely.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8【課題】水田作業機において、泥が硬い場合や田面に水が少ない場合でも、覆土部材が泥を前方に押し出さずに、覆土部材から横側の溝に向って泥が適切に押し出されるように構成する。【解決手段】作溝器の横側の位置で田面に突入しながら機体の進行に伴って泥を溝に押し出して、農用の粉粒体が供給された前記溝を埋める覆土部材３１，３７を備える。覆土部材３１，３７に、田面に沿った横向きの上部分４１ａ、上部分４１ａの後部から下方に延出された第１後部分４１ｂ、第１後部分４１ｂから下方に延出されて田面に突入する第２後部分４２を備える。第１後部分４１ｂに対する第２後部分４２の位置を第１後部分４１ｂに沿って上下に変更することにより、覆土部材３１，３７の田面への突入深さを変更自在に構成する。【選択図】図８
