PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wearable article which has no space between itself and a wearer, can suppress leakage of urine or the like through the space and can prevent limbs of the wearer from being caught on its strings.
SOLUTION: Waist strings 40 are formed at the rear waist region 6 of a diaper 1. First string parts 41 and second string parts 42 of the waist strings 40 are tied together for bringing the diaper 1 into intimate contact with the body side. A cover 60 is formed on the side of clothing of the front waist region 5 of the diaper 1. The cover 60 is formed by folding an outer sheet 22 along a cover return line 61. Hooks 62 of mechanical fasteners are formed on the other outer surface of the cover 60 and loops 63 of the mechanical fasteners are formed on the outer sheet 22 of the front waist region 5. The hooks 62 and loops 63 can be attached and detached and form engaging parts.
