The present invention provides an irrigation system, which may enable the level of culture liquid for hydroponic plants generating rising and receding effects as tides. The aforementioned irrigation system employs a pump to supply the culture liquid in the liquid storage tank to the cultivation container through a liquid delivery pipe, and to keep the culture liquid in the cultivation container at a predetermined liquid height by the control of the liquid return pipe and the level valve. Especially, the level valve operation is controlled according to the growth characteristics of the hydroponic plants, which will drain the culture liquid in the cultivation container, and re-supply the culture liquid to the cultivation container in the cultivation area after a period of time.
