The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising 2-[(3-chlorophenyl)hydrazonol-3-oxo-3-phenylpropane nitrile or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active component for preventing or treating cancer. According to the present invention, the 2-[(3-chlorophenyl)hydrazonol-3-oxo-3-phenylpropane nitrile or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof induces autophagocytosis of cancer cells specific to mitochondria and, as a result, causes apoptosis of cancer cells.본 발명은 2-[(3-클로로페닐)하이드라조놀-3-옥소-3-페닐프로판나이트릴 또는 이의 약학적으로 허용 가능한 염을 유효성분으로 포함하는 암 예방 또는 치료용 약학 조성물에 관한 것이다.본 발명에 따르면 2-[(3-클로로페닐)하이드라조놀-3-옥소-3-페닐프로판나이트릴 또는 이의 약학적으로 허용 가능한 염은 암세포의 미토콘드리아 특이적 자가포식을 유도하여 결과적으로 암세포 사멸을 일으킬 수 있다.
