The present invention relates to a composition, preferably a cosmetic composition, comprising at least one aqueous phase containing a compound chosen from baicalin and derivatives thereof, or a plant extract containing at least one of said compounds； and at least 0.2% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition, of at least one antioxidant compound chosen from 4-hydroxybenzylidenemalonate derivatives, 4-hydroxycinnamate derivatives and 4-hydroxybenzyl malonate derivatives, and/or mixtures thereof.
