The present invention provides a sweetener composition containing monatin or a salt thereof, which is undecomposable by exposure to ultraviolet light or in an acidic condition, a preservation stabilizer of monatin or a salt thereof, and a method for preserving monatin or a salt thereof. According to the present invention, a sweetener composition containing monatin or a salt thereof and a radical scavenger and the like are provided.
