Disclosed is a line hauler (20), a method of fishing using a line hauler (20) and a kitset of parts for use in fishing. The present line hauler (20) addresses the issues encountered with tangling of lines or hooks and prevents the line hauler (20) from being dragged back to shore by wave action and currents. Furthermore, first (21) and second (22) body portions of a main body of the line hauler (20) can be disengaged to accommodate a storage configuration. The line hauler (20) includes a main body and fasteners. The main body comprises first (21) and second (22) body portions. The fastener is a latch (29a) and catch (29b) style fastener which secures the first (21) and second (22) body portions together to provide a main body in an in-use configuration. The fasteners can be disengaged to enable to first (21) and second (22) body portions to be separated into a storage configuration. The line hauler (20) further comprises drive means which includes a propeller and a motor (32). The motor (32) rotates the propeller. The line hauler (20) further comprises a control system to control the operation of the drive means wherein a remote control can wirelessly communicate with the control system.
