The invention provides apparatus and methods for delivery of health care,e.g., in-home or at centralcare facilities, that gather subjective and objective measures of patienthealth and treatment, analyzing them(e.g., correlating them with one another and/or with norms) and reporting themto aid in on-going patientdiagnosis and treatment (both on acute and chronic bases), as well as to aidphysicians, nurses and othercaregivers in decision support, monitoring treatment compliance, facilitatingregulatory compliance, billing, andso forth. Thus, for example, in some aspects a health care delivery devicecomprising a medical treatmentapparatus, such as a hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis unit, that is coupledto a processor. The processorgenerates patient queries in connection with treatments rendered by thedialysis equipment (or other treatmentapparatus). Further aspects of the invention provide a health care deliverysystem, e.g., as described above inwhich a digital data processing system is coupled to a plurality of healthcare delivery devices (e.g., via theInternet, etc.), which can disposed in treatment centers ranging from patienthomes to commercial health carefacilities such as hospitals, dialysis centers and so forth. Reportingfunctionality can, instead of or in addition toidentifying (and reporting on) discrepancies in the raw and/or analyzed datafrom the delivery devices, infer(and report) on possible causes of those discrepancies and, in some aspects ofthe invention, remedy thosecauses, thereby, providing automated operations support for the treatmentcenters.
