PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair which is firmly fixed to a floor, does not move carelessly when sitting on the wheelchair, can move at an appropriate speed even on a downslope, and collectively and simultaneously performs lock and unlock operations.SOLUTION: In a wheelchair 1 including a pair of rear wheels 2 of a large diameter and a pair of front wheels of double-wheel casters 3, the front wheels of the double-wheel casters are provided with a caster lock mechanism 4 for performing locking and unlocking, the rear wheels of a large diameter are provided with a tire brake mechanism 7 for pressing a portion of a tire 21 to brake the tire, and a braking adjustment brake mechanism 8 provided with an operation mechanism that can adjust the braking force of the rear wheels, one grip part 124 of a rear part of the wheelchair includes an operation part 5 for operating the cast lock mechanism, an operation part for operating a pair of tire brake mechanisms of the rear wheels, and an operation lever 51 for collectively and simultaneously operating the operation part 5 and the operation part, and the other grip part includes an operation part 88 and an operation lever 881 for operating the brake of the braking adjustment brake mechanism in an adjustable manner.COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT【課題】床に強固に固定するとともに、車椅子に乗る際不用意に移動せず、下り坂においても、適切な速度で移動でき、一括して同時にロック及びロック解除操作をする車椅子を提供する。【解決手段】一対の大径の後輪2と一対の双輪キャスター3の前輪とを備えた車椅子1であって、双輪キャスターの前輪にはロック及びロック解除を行うキャスターロック機構4を設け、大径の後輪にはタイヤ21の一部を押圧して制動するタイヤブレーキ機構7と、後輪を制動力を調整可能にする操作機構を設けた制動調整ブレーキ機構8とを設け、車椅子の後部の一方の把持部124には、キャスターロック機構を操作する操作部5と、後輪の一対のタイヤブレーキ機構の操作を行う操作部とを設けるとともに、これらを一括して同時に操作する操作レバー51を設け、他方の把持部には、制動調整ブレーキ機構の制動を調整可能に操作する操作部88及び操作レバー881を設けた車椅子。【選択図】図1
