PURPOSE: Novel DSE(Dark Septate Endophyte) 8 and DSE9 isolated from grass roots, a composition containing the strains for preventing plants from diseases, and a prevention method in a plant are provided to effectively prevent plant diseases by infection and symbiosis in a plant root. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing plants from diseases contains DSE8 and/or DSE9. The plant diseases are caused by one or more bacteria selected from a group consisting of Rhizoctonia spp. and Pythium spp. The plant is Gramineae plants selected from a group consisting of a rice plant, barley, oat, corn, cane, hog millet, and grass. A method for preventing plant diseases comprises a step of treating soil in which plants grow and the plants with the composition.본 발명은 잔디 뿌리로부터 분리된 신규한 DSE8 및 DSE9 균주, 상기 균주들을 포함하는 식물 병해 방제용 조성물, 및 상기 조성물을 식물 병해 방제를 목적으로 하는 식물이 생장하는 토양 또는 그 식물 자체에 처리하는 것을 특징으로 하는 식물 병해 방제 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 의한 신규 균주들은 식물내생균으로서, 식물의 뿌리에 감염 및 공생하는 능력이 우수하여 식물 병해, 특히 라이족토니아속균 및 피시움성속균에 의하여 발병하는 식물 병해에 대하여 우수한 방제 효과를 가진다.
