FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: for the differential diagnosis of pain in the lumbosacral spine, the following parameters are analyzed: presence of pain in the lower back, ability to tolerate pain without taking painkillers, presence of injuries during the past year, pain spreading in the legs, presence of injuries for more than one year back, presence of numbness in the leg, duration of pain, presence of tumoral formations of benign or malignant nature, soreness of paravertebral points, presence of hyperlordosis, smoothed lordosis, hypomyotonia. Values of discriminant functions y1,y2, y3 are calculated using indicators obtained during patient survey and clinical examination, where all indicators are presented as binary values. At the maximum value of y1, absence of clinical manifestations of lumbosacral spine diseases is established, and the patient is prescribed preventive measures. At the maximum value of y2, presence of nonspecific pain in the lumbosacral spine is established, and therapeutic and diagnostic measures are prescribed.
