PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wearing article showing improved wearability and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A wearing article includes front and back waistline regions 11, 12, a crotch region 13, and an absorbent structure 40 extending from the crotch region to the front and back waistline regions. The front and back waistline regions have waistline elastic regions 27, 28 including a non-stretchable sheet member 22 and a waistline elastic member 23. The waistline elastic member is joined to the non-stretchable sheet member while being extended in a lateral direction.
