PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MRI apparatus in which sudden noise due to application of a gradient magnetic field at a start of measurement is suppressed to reduce burden on a subject.SOLUTION: Before measurement is started, a noise of an MRI apparatus 1, a sound of the MRI apparatus 1 noise with a higher level of frequency, and a sound of a frequency in an approximate integer ratio to the frequency are synthesized by a synthesizing unit 34 to obtain an alleviating sound.
