A pressure relieving support comprising a selectively inflatable cell 201 with upper 220 and lower inflatable portions wherein one of the portions surrounds a solid foam structure 240 and the other doesnt include a solid foam structure. The portions may have a wall 231 or waist between them or be fluidly connected. The foam 240 may be an elongate body with a quadrilateral cross section and there may be longitudinal and transverse cells in an array. A polyurethane cover may also be provided. Also disclosed is a support with an array of cells 200 and a base 110 whose height raises and lowers across the width of the base. The cells 200 may be dynamic such that they are inflated in an alternating pattern to help prevent pressure ulcers.
