An adjustable suture passer for use in arthroscopic surgery is disclosed. In a preferred embodiment, the adjustable suture passer comprises a head that describes a semicircular arc, an elongate body, a support element, and driving and control mechanisms. The head is adapted to accommodate a surgical needle and a guide wire. When the adjustable suture passer is activated, the needle is driven with sufficient force to penetrate bone. Use of the adjustable suture passer thus enables surgical attachment of soft tissue to bone without any necessity for a separate anchor.관절경 수술에 사용하기 위한 조절형 봉합 패서(suture passer)가 개시된다. 바람직한 실시예에서, 조절형 봉합 패서는 반원호 형상으로 도시된 헤드부, 기다란 바디, 지지 요소와 구동 및 제어 장치를 구비한다. 헤드부는 외과용 바늘 및 가이드 와이어를 수용하도록 구성된다. 조절형 봉합 패서가 작동할 때, 바늘은 뼈를 관통하기에 충분한 힘으로 구동된다. 따라서 조절형 봉합 패서를 사용함으로써 별도의 앵커(anchor)없이 연조직을 뼈에 외과적으로 부착시킬 수 있다.
