A method of growing a single plant in a singlegrowth chamber such that the plant may be continuously harvestedwith the replacement of a nutrient media in the chamber. Themethod of growing the single plant comprises the step of positioningan immature portion of a plant in a growth pod. The method alsocomprises positioning the growth pod in an aperture of a capcomprising a material that prevents the transmission of light throughthe cap. The method also comprises supporting the cap on ahousing comprising a material that prevents the transmission of lightthrough the housing. The method further comprises placing a liquidnutrient solution in the housing, such the upper surface of the liquidnutrient solution is lower than the lower surface of the growth pod.
