PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of powder for food is provided to remove the intrinsic fishy taste of Optunita hymifusa cactus and to significantly improve the flavor using Optunita hymifusa cactus and oriental medicine refined water. CONSTITUTION: Stems or berries of Opuntia humifusa cactus are prepared by washing and are inserted into an extractor. 7-9 times more of refined water than the weight of Optunita hymifusa cactus is added thereto. A hot water extraction is performed at a temperature of 90-100°;C for 10-13 hours to obtain the Optunita hymifusa cactus extract. 10-20 wt% of dextrin is added to 100 wt% of Optunita hymifusa cactus to prepare the mixed material. The mixed material is dried and pulverized to prepare the powder for food. The refined water is an oriental medicine refined water that is prepared to contain active ingredients of the oriental medicine by adding the oriental medicine into drinking water and heated. The oriental medicine refined water is prepared by adding 10g of angelica gigas, 10g of chinese matrimony vine, 10g of schisandra chinensis, 10g of cornus fruit, 5g of ganoderma, 5g of jujube, 3 pieces of glycyrrhizae radix, and 3 pieces of ginger, heated and boiled with a weak fire for 30 minutes to 1 hour and filtered through a sieve.
