The invention relates to a method for stacking bale-shaped receptacles or bales (2) in at least two superimposed layers (A, B, C, D, E, F, G), the undermost layer (A) covering an essentially polygonal surface. The operational safety can be substantially increased in that a blocking body (3) of solid material is arranged in at least one corner of the undermost layer (A). The present invention also relates to an arrangement of bale-shaped receptacles and to a blocking body (3) which has substantially the same dimensions as the individual receptacles.
