An object of the present invention is to provide a pharmaceutical composition that has excellent water solubility, contains a gelling agent that has a gelation rate in suitable ranges, and is useful as an adhesion preventing biomedical material. Another object of the present invention is to provide a pharmaceutical composition that can demonstrate an excellent hemostatic effect. A solid pharmaceutical composition is prepared from (A) a gelling agent, (B) a salt of a divalent metal and at least one selected from the group consisting of organic acids and inorganic acids, and (C) polyethylene glycol.본 발명의 목적의 하나는, 물로의 용해성이 우수하고, 겔화제의 겔화 속도가 적당한 범위를 구비하고 있으며, 유착 방지용의 의료용 재료로서 유용한 의약 조성물을 제공하는 것이다. 또한, 본 발명의 다른 목적의 하나는, 우수한 지혈 효과를 발휘할 수 있는 의약 조성물을 제공하는 것이다.
