PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent joint failure of a sheet with a more simple method in which there are no restrictions in arrangement and configuration of projections on an anvil roll upon production of a cell absorber.SOLUTION: Above problem may be solved by a configuration that: first sheet supply means 80, depression formation means 90, a particle supply apparatus 100 and second sheet supply means 150 are provided in this order from rotation direction upstream side in rotation direction area of upper half of an anvil roll 70; welding means 160 is provided at rotating direction downstream side of the second sheet supply means; the anvil roll comprises a large number of recessed parts 71 aligned on peripheral surface with an interval, projections 72 formed at a section between the recessed parts 71 in a manner surrounding each recessed part 71, and means for suctioning air in the recessed parts 71; the projections 72 are fine dot shape projections 72 aligned on one lane with an interval in a direction surrounding each recessed part 71; and a peripheral edge of an acceptive depression 201c on a first sheet 201 overlaps an edge at the acceptive depression 201c of the dot shape projections 72 surrounding the acceptive depression 201c.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 24【課題】セル吸収体の製造に際して、アンビルロールの突起の配置や形状に制限がなく、より簡素な手法でシートの接合不良を防止する。【解決手段】上記課題は、アンビルロール70の上半分の回転方向範囲内に、回転方向上流側から順に、第1シート供給手段80と、窪み形成手段90と、粉粒体供給装置100と、第2シート供給手段150とを備えるとともに、第2シートの供給手段の回転方向下流側に溶着手段160を備え、アンビルロールは、外周面に、間隔を空けて配列された多数の凹部71、凹部71間の部分に各凹部71を取り囲むように設けられた突起72、及び凹部71内を吸気する手段を有し、突起72は各凹部71を取り囲む方向に間隔を空けて一列のみ配列された微小なドット状突起72であり、第1シート201における受容窪み201cの周縁が、当該受容窪み201cを取り囲むドット状突起72の当該受容窪み201c側の縁に一致するように構成されている、ことにより解決される。【選択図】図24
