To solve the problems in which: it is difficult for a woman to perform a stable support operation of a conventional walking type work machine because large and rotational moving of a stand lever by a strong force is required to erect a stand of the body； and the stand supporting the body of the walking type work machine is requested to be capable of easily performing the standing operation.SOLUTION: A walking type work machine has a control lever at a rear side of a driving wheel (1) for traveling. A stand (2) rotated downward by a pedaling operation to support the body is pivotally supported in a portion at the rear side of the driving wheel (1). A standing guide member (3) with a contact area (3a) that is curved in an arc state when viewed from the side is arranged from a grounding support part (2a) of the stand (2) to the front side thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】従来の歩行型作業車のスタンドを起立するにはスタンドレバーを強い力で大きく回動する必要が有り、女性では機体の安定支持操作が困難である。歩行型作業機の機体を支持するスタンドを、容易に起立操作できるものとする。【解決手段】走行用の駆動輪（１）の後方に操縦ハンドルを設けた歩行型作業機において、前記駆動輪（１）の後方の部位に、足踏み操作で下方へ回動して機体を支持するスタンド（２）を枢支し、このスタンド（２）の接地支持部（２ａ）から前方に向けて、側面視で円弧状に湾曲した接地面（３ａ）を有する起立誘導部材（３）を設けたことを特徴とする歩行型作業機とする。【選択図】図１
