PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power tool materializing rational driving in the power tool having an engine and a motor.SOLUTION: A bush cutter is configured as a power tool having an engine 311, an electric motor 341, and a gear head for driving a mowing blade. The bush cutter has a battery pack for supplying a current to the electric motor 341, and a controller 339 for controlling the driving of the mowing blade. An output shaft of the engine 311 and an output shaft of the electric motor 341 are coaxially disposed. In the bush cutter, the engine 311 drives the gear head to drive the mowing blade. The controller 339 has a first control mode for controlling to drive the mowing blade, and a second control mode for controlling to charge the battery pack 337.
