The invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising about 1 µgto about 15 µg of R,R-formoterol or a pharmaceutically acceptable saltthereof and apharmaceutically acceptable diluent for use in the treatment of a patienthaving chronicobstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It also relates to a pharmaceuticalcompositioncomprising a combination of about 1 µg to about 20 µg of R,R-formoterolor apharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and about 25 µg to about 500µg, or alternativelyless than about 100 µg, of glycopyrrolate or a pharmaceutically acceptableenantiomer and/orsalt thereof, for use in the treatment of a patient having chronic obstructivepulmonary disease(COPD). In each case, the pharmaceutical composition is for administration tothe patientwith a high efficiency nebulizer.
