An angling device comprising a housing arranged with an arm with a pivot to the housing at a proximal end and a line capture jaw at a distal end, a location means for location of the line capture jaw in use on a line of an angling rod, and a mechanism for pivoting the arm from a second position where the line capture jaw locates on the line in a second location on the rod, to a first position where the line capture jaw locates on the line in a first location on the rod, wherein the mechanism is activated automatically after movement of the line to the second location on the rod.La présente invention concerne un dispositif de pêche à la ligne, lequel comprend un boîtier comportant un bras pivotant vers le boîtier au niveau d'une extrémité proximale et une mâchoire de capture de ligne au niveau d'une extrémité distale, un moyen de positionnement pour l'emplacement de la mâchoire de capture de ligne lors de l'utilisation sur une ligne d'une canne à pêche, et un mécanisme pour faire pivoter le bras à partir d'une seconde position dans laquelle la mâchoire de capture de ligne se situe sur la ligne dans un second emplacement sur la canne, vers une première position dans laquelle la mâchoire de capture de ligne se trouve sur la ligne dans un premier emplacement sur la canne, le mécanisme étant activé automatiquement après le déplacement de la ligne vers le second emplacement sur la canne.
