The present invention relates to an insert (23,40) adapted to fit on a breast-receiving funnel of a breast pump. The insert (23) comprises a circumferentially extending resiliently deformable wall (26) which defines a teat receiving space (33) and against which a users teat is locatable, the insert being configured to define a pressure chamber (38) between the resiliently deformable wall and a breast receiving funnel (12) when the insert is fitted on a breast receiving funnel, wherein said wall is configured to deform towards a users teat located in the teat receiving space in a predetermined manner when a pressure difference is applied between the teat receiving space and the pressure chamber such that a peristaltic action is applied to a users teat, to aid the expression of milk therefrom.본 발명은 유축기(1)의 유방 수용 깔때기(12) 상에 끼워지도록 구성된 인서트(23)에 관한 것이다. 인서트는 젖꼭지 수용 공간을 형성하고 사용자의 젖꼭지가 위치 가능한 원주방향으로 연장하는 탄성 변형 가능한 벽(26)을 포함하고, 인서트는 인서트가 유방 수용 깔때기 상에 끼워질 때 탄성 변형 가능한 벽과 유방 수용 깔때기 사이에 압력 챔버(38)를 형성하도록 구성되고, 상기 벽은 그로부터 모유의 짜냄을 보조하기 위해 연동 작용이 사용자의 젖꼭지에 인가되도록 젖꼭지 수용 공간과 압력 챔버 사이에 압력차가 인가될 때 사전 결정된 방식으로 젖꼭지 수용 공간 내에 위치된 사용자의 젖꼭지를 향해 변형하도록 구성된다.
