According to an embodiment, an electrical stimulation method comprises the steps of: receiving a signal which exhibits the strength of external stimulation； determining the number of unit stimulation pulses to be generated, on the basis of the strength of the external stimulation； and generating the determined number of the unit stimulation pulses in a period of stimulation application. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a linear electrical stimulation method having high spatial resolution and uniform sensitivity with respect to the stimulation of a stimulation target can be performed by generating the stimulation pulses with the constant amplitude of the stimulation pulses through a plurality of periods of stimulation application and with the constant time interval between adjacent pulses.일 실시예에 따른 전기 자극 방법은, 외부자극의 세기를 나타내는 신호를 수신하는 단계； 상기 외부자극의 세기에 기초하여, 발생시킬 단위 자극 펄스의 개수를 결정하는 단계； 및 결정된 상기 개수의 상기 단위 자극 펄스를 자극인가주기 내에서 발생시키는 단계；를 포함한다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 복수의 자극인가주기에 걸쳐 자극 펄스의 진폭이 일정하고 이웃하는 펄스 사이의 시간간격이 일정한 자극 펄스를 발생시킴으로써 공간적 해상도가 높고 자극대상의 자극에 대한 민감도가 균일한 선형적 전기 자극 방법을 구현할 수 있다.
