To provide a discrimination apparatus for determining effects of treating depression patients.SOLUTION: An operational apparatus executes a process of determining effects of treating depression patients, in which process, based on information obtained by measuring correlations at a first time point between a plurality of functional couplings selected from functional couplings and correlations at a second time point after the start of treatment later than the first time point, a classifier is precreated to identify a group of subjects showing effects of treatment from a group of subjects showing no effects of treatment in correlative spaces present in each of differences between the first time point and the second time points in the plurality of functional couplings, first correlations between the plurality of functional couplings within the brain of an examinee in a resting state at the first time point are calculated and second correlations between the plurality of functional couplings within the brain of the same examinee in a resting state at the second time point are calculated, and effects of treating the examinee are determined by the classifier on the basis of differences between the second correlations and the first correlations of the plurality of functional couplings in the examinee.SELECTED DRAWING: None【課題】うつ病患者における治療効果を判定する判別装置を提供する。【解決手段】演算装置は、複数の対象者について、機能的結合から選択される複数の機能的結合の第１の時点の相関と治療開始後であって第１の時点よりも後の第２の時点の相関とがそれぞれ計測されて得られる情報に基づき、複数の機能的結合の第１の時点と第２の時点の相関の差の各々で張られる相関状態空間において、複数の対象者において治療効果がみられた群と治療効果がみられない群とを識別する分類器を予め生成し、第１の時点の被検者の安静時の脳内における、複数の機能的結合の第１の相関を算出し、第２の時点の被検者と同一の被検者の安静時の脳内における、複数の機能的結合の第２相関を算出し、被検者の前記複数の機能的結合の前記第２の相関と第１の相関との差に基づき、分類器により、被検者に対する治療効果を判別する、うつ病患者における治療効果の判定処理を実行する。【選択図】なし
