Also disclosed herein are methodsfor reducing microbial growth on the surface of an oral care device comprisingcontacting the oral care device with saliva and atooth whitening composition comprising at least one hydrophobic polymercarrier； cetylpyridinium chloride； and at least one whiteningagent, wherein the composition is free of water.
