The invention relates to a heating device for bottle-shaped or tubular containers (7) for gel-like media for medical diagnostics, wherein according to the invention a sleeve-like housing (1) is provided with an electrically heated inner surface in the form of a cylindrical casing, wherein the bottle-shaped or tubular container (7) can be inserted into the first opening (8) of said housing, and a holder (11) for the bottle-shaped or tubular containers (7) is releasably fastened to the housing (1). The holder (11) is disposed within the region bounded by the inner surface and has a base region (13) which is sealed relative to the second opening (10) of the housing (1). The heating device according to the invention for bottle-shaped or tubular containers (7) for gel-like media for medical diagnostics meets high hygiene standards while avoiding moisture, and makes it possible to work simply and quickly with the accordingly heated containers (7), wherein the amount of the gel-like medium which is used is heated reliably and it is no longer necessary to dry or shake the container (7).
