A food items vending machine that receives a taste file pertaining to a food item, wherein the taste file is generated based on one or more taste-defining parameters either at the vending machine or at a computing device operatively coupled with the vending machine and prepares and delivers the food item based on the taste file is disclosed. The taste file is created by a user and can be shared, encrypted and monetized. The taste-defining parameters pertain to any or a combination of ingredients and their quantities to be used for preparing the food item, and cooking conditions for preparing the food item. Various taste files can be stored in a server and made available at all vending machines and so, a user can get exact taste he wants of a food item at all such vending machines globally. An exemplary embodiment of a Beverage Vending Machine is elaborated upon.
