The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition of a tablet form and to a method for preparing the same, wherein the cosmetic composition of the tablet form is prepared through direct tableting while performing removal of a molding plate included in a conventional powder type or a cake type of cosmetic material, and more specifically, to a cosmetic composition of a tablet form prepared through direct tableting and to a method for preparing the same, wherein the cosmetic composition of the tablet form is obtained by mixing a mixture powder containing a makeup powder and a viscosity controlling agent and an aqueous dispersion containing water, alcohol, a polymer for a lubricant, and a polysaccharide for a binder, followed by granulation and by molding the mixture using a tableting machine. According to the present invention, by providing the cosmetic composition of the tablet form obtained by direct tableting without the molding plate, the aesthetic beauty and portability of the cosmetic composition was greatly improved while a cosmetic effect in a conventional powder or cake type of powder cosmetic composition was maintained.
