The application concerns a method for molding a soft implant shell, the method comprising: providing a molding system including: a devolatilization chamber (66) a plurality of mandrel (40, 60) and elongated holder (92) assemblies a conveyor to which the mandrel (40, 60) and elongated holder (92) assemblies are mounted for translation, the conveyors including a subsystem that can spin each mandrel (40, 60) about its respective central axis and rotate each mandrel (40, 60) within a vertical plane a spray assembly capable of providing a silicone dispersion spray translating each mandrel (40, 60) into the path of the spray assembly and applying the silicone dispersion spray to the respective mandrels (40, 60) to form coated mandrels(40, 60) and translating each coated mandrel (40, 60) into the devolatilization chamber (66) while spinning the coated mandrel (40, 60) about its respective central axis and rotating the coated mandrel (40, 60) within the vertical plane.
