PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a package assembly for surgical sutures.SOLUTION: The package includes a rectangular casing 200 defining an internal area therein and including a container portion 202 having a flat bottom side and four sides, and a lid portion 204 removably secured to a top side of the container portion. The package further includes a plurality of suture packages, wherein the plurality of packages are positioned within the internal area of the rectangular casing. The package assembly further includes recesses and protrusions in the container portion and lid portion, wherein each of the protrusions are press fit within a respective one of the recesses.
