A syringe handle that is separately formed from a syringe and enabled to be later attached to a syringe is presented along with methods for using the handle. In some embodiments, handles can be attached and then detached from the syringes for re-use. Handles can be ergonomically elongated so as to not only support a users index and middle fingers, but also his or her ring finger and/or pinkie as well.
