The present invention relates to a height-measurable stick for the blind and a guiding method using the same, the height-measurable stick being capable of making the blind recognize topography at places, such as a steps or pits, where the blind may encounter a rapid change in height and thus preventing negligent accidents, by providing a user with information on the height between the ground and the stick previously. The height-measurable stick according to the present invention comprises: a rod-shaped stick body having a grip part at one side thereof； a power supply part having an operating button on the grip part for supplying power； a distance detecting part mounted on the stick body； an angle detecting part mounted on the stick body； a calculation part which calculates the height from the ground to the lower end of the stick by using the measured values through the distance detecting part and the angle detecting part； a control part which makes a comparative determination between the real-time height information obtained from the calculation part and a predetermined reference danger value； and an alarming part which provides a user with information on the danger at the front which is determined through the control part.본 발명은 높낮이측정이 가능한 시작장애인용 지팡이 및 이를 이용한 안내방법에 관한 것으로, 시각장애인이 계단이나 구덩이 등 급격한 높낮이변화가 이루어지는 지형에서 지팡이와 지면과의 높낮이 정보를 사용자에게 미리 전달하여 지형상태를 파악할 수 있고 안전사고를 예방할 수 있는 높낮이측정이 가능한 시각장애인용 지팡이 및 이를 이용한 안내방법에 관한 것이다.즉, 본 발명은 막대형으로 이루어지고 일측에 손잡이부가 형성된 지팡이몸체와,상기 손잡이부에 작동버튼이 구비되고 전원을 공급할 수 있도록 한 전원공급부와,상기 지팡이몸체에 설치되는 거리감지부와, 상기 지팡이몸체에 설치되는 각도감지부와, 상기 거리감지부와 각도감지부를 통해 측정된 값으로 지팡이의 하단부에서 지면까지 높낮이를 연산하는 연산부와, 상기 연산부를 통해 얻어진 실시간 높낮이정보와 미리 설정된 위험기준값을 비교 판단하는 제어부와, 상기 제어부를 통해 판단된 전방의 위험정보를 사용자에게 알려주는 경보부로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 높낮이측정이 가능한 시각장애인용 지팡이.
