The present invention titled Licorice Root-Epoxy Resin-Copper Powder-Carbon Fiber: A Bio-Material is related to development of bio-material which can be compared with human bone as well as have load bearing capacity. Licorice root is one of the easily available natural fibers. Epoxy resin is used as an organic matrix materials for preparing reinforced materials for orthopedic and dentistry applications. Copper and Carbon fibers are biocompatible. Experimental result revealed that the biomaterial consisting of Licorice Root-Epoxy Resin-Copper Powder-Carbon Fiber gives same mechanical strength as that of femur bone and thus a suitable biomaterial for orthopaedic applications.
