With the modification of FOV it improves the processing which arranges the matrix size of read-out direction making data sampling time modify, unnecessary and it is possible to maintain spatial resolution.テーブル移動撮像に際し、画質劣化を最小限にして撮像時間を短縮するMRI装置および方法を提供する。被検体を載せたテーブルを移動させながら、被検体の広い範囲について撮像を行う際に、位相エンコード方向の傾斜磁場強度を変化させながら撮像を繰り返すとともに、位相エンコード量に応じてデータ読み出しの際の読み出し傾斜磁場強度を変えて読み出し方向の撮像視野サイズFOVを変更する。撮像視野が拡大した部分ではデータ取得頻度が低くなり、結果として全撮像時間が短縮する。FOVの変更とともにデータサンプリング時間を変更させてもよく、読み出し方向のマトリクスサイズを揃える処理を不要とし空間分解能を維持することができる。
