PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an animal ectoparasite control composition having an excellent control potency against ectoparasites that infest animals.SOLUTION: An animal ectoparasite control composition containing a nitryl compound represented by formula (I) and octyl acetate has an excellent control potency against animal ectoparasites. The composition is preferably a liquid agent that further contains a solvent, in which the nitryl compound represented by formula (I) has a solubility of 40 wt.% or more at 25°C.
