The invention provides an artificial bait (2) which is highly attractive to the fishes. The artificial bait has a head (4), a fishing line eye (6), an installation part (8), a hook (10), a skirt part (12) and an artificial bait band (14). The installation part takes the shape of a plate and has the rear buried and fixed into the head. The width direction of the installation part agrees with the width direction of the head. The lower surface of the installation part is a contacting surface (16), the extending direction of which agrees with the width direction of the head. The artificial bait band takes the shape of a band, has a place close to the center fixed on the installation part through a rubber band (26) and is contacted with the contacting surface of the installation part. The contacting surface extends along the width of the artificial bait band (14), so the width direction of the artificial bait band agrees with the width direction of the head. A large area of the artificial bait band suffers from a water pressure and then can float well.
