Aerated composite materials in the shape of a three-dimensional objects and methods of producing the same. The composite comprises a thermoplastic biodegradable polyester mixed with reinforcing agents selected from particles of woody materials having a smallest dimension greater than 0.1 mm. The composite material further comprises regions of elasticity formed by incisions which upon stretching will yield open pores. The incised regions will also provide for flexibility or semi-rigidity in at least one dimension. The material can be used in comfortable splints and circumferential casts.Linvention concerne des matériaux composites aérés sous la forme dobjets à trois dimensions et leurs procédés de production. Le composite comprend un polyester thermoplastique biodégradable mélangé avec des agents de renforcement choisis parmi des particules de matériaux de bois ayant la plus petite dimension supérieure à 0,1 mm. Le matériau composite comprend en plus des régions délasticité formées par des incisions qui lors de lallongement produiront des pores ouverts. Les régions incisées fourniront aussi la flexibilité ou la semi-rigidité dans au moins une dimension. Le matériau peut être utilisé pour des attelles confortables et des moulages circonférentiels.
