PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly remove fixed pattern noise (noise of vertical streaks) without depending on temperature even if a specific correction circuit or correction memory is not provided to the external control device (processor) connected to electronic endoscope equipped with a CMOS type image sensor.SOLUTION: The electronic endoscope 11 includes a CMOS sensor 31 provided to the tip of an insertion part 16 thereof.
