PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional scanning optical imaging probe which is an OCT image diagnosing probe, preventing rotational unevenness, axial runout, friction, or rotation transmission delay of a rotation portion by reducing generation of the rotation transmission delay, torque loss or the like, and performing a prescribed-length scanning in the axial direction to obtain a three-dimensional observation image.SOLUTION: An optical imaging probe has a fixed side optical fiber 1 and a rotation side optical fiber 2 transmitting light between the tip side and rear side of the probe, a motor 12 that is a rotation drive source, and a linear-movement actuator 19 that is an axial direction drive source, disposed on the same straight line. An optical rotary connector 22 optically connects the rotation side optical fiber 2 and the fixed side optical fiber 1. The rotation side optical fiber 2 includes optical path conversion means 3 on the tip side, and a slide shaft of the linear-movement actuator 19 is provided with a cylindrical prism 20 of nearly cone-like or cylindrical-like shape having a curved surface. At least a part of the cylindrical prism 20 is disposed so as to cover a part of the optical path conversion means 3 from the outside.
