PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder capable of stably holding infrared rays from an eardrum in a state capable of being efficiently received, and an ear-type clinical thermometer using the holder. SOLUTION: This is a holder F1 of an ear thermometer E, which has an infrared sensor that measures the temperature of the eardrum of the temperature measurement target person in a non-contact manner, and is an ear type. A holder main body 205 mounted so as to cover at least a part of the thermometer, and a flexible engagement that is curved and extended outward from the holder main body and is engageable with the concha of the person whose temperature is to be measured. An arm 201 and a flexible support portion 202 extending from the holder body and joined to and supported by the engaging arm are provided.
